phantom space by Hannah Cobb

What is this?

Phantom Space renders an image as a volume you can move through. In space ψ, each pixel is placed in depth by its luminance inside a superposition of wave packets; in spacetime, the depth axis is time. A section of video can be used instead of a still, with its frames stacked along that axis.

The volume itself is a visual model drawn by your browser. The quantum processing runs on Atlas, Moth's quantum platform: blur-core-v1 and blur-v1 blur the volume or the image, and entanglement-shader-v1 produces the reflectance tables used as materials. Running an engine requires a Moth API key. The line at the bottom left lists what in the current view was computed on Atlas.

Drag to orbit. Scroll or pinch to zoom. W, A, S, D, Q and E move the camera. Hovering acts as an observer and collapses the region under the cursor; clicking triggers a stronger collapse.
